We are now accepting preorders for TURN PALE's debut CD'"KILL THE LIGHTS". We're thrilled to announce that we will be releasing the debut full-length by Bloomington IN's avant-death-disco punks TURN PALE this June. I'm completely excited about this album; TURN PALE mix dark post-punk aesthetics, hinting elements of JOY DIVISION and THE FALL with dancey rhythms similar to PiL and THE MAKE UP. With a 2-song 7", a self-released CD, and multiple US tours under their belts with the likes of LOVE LIFE and others, their debut CD entitled KILL THE LIGHTS will firmly entrench TURN PALE as nothing less than a force to be reckoned with. We are now carrying TURN PALE's first 7" in our mailorder as well as patches (which are free) and T-shirts. Get 'em while they're hot.

Chicago IL's LYNYRD'S INNARDS have been around for about 13 years and now they have 1 more full-length under their collective belts. We are super excited to announce the release of their new 12 song LP / CD 'UNTITLED NO. 3' , which is a power-pop melange of influences ranging from THE BUZZCOCKS and BLACK FLAG to CHEAP TRICK and GENERATION X. One reviewer wrote "This is the kind of hardcore that is just about impossible to find (and what made bands like Minor Threat legendary)-fast and musically tight with intelligent lyrics, yet loaded with enough accessible hooks to keep the music from being enjoyed only by a "superior" few". This record is melodic and catchy, without for one minute losing a witty, punk edge (think SCARED OF CHAKA).

The newest installment in the FIGURITAS Series of 7" singles featuring Chicago IL's HAYMARKET RIOT and Belgium's HITCH is out now. The FIGURITAS 7” records are a series of 2 band 7” singles which are released sporadically and are limited to 500 copies each. The series is named after FIGURITAS cards; Mexican bingo cards, which are hand glued to each record’s cover. There’s a different FIGURITAS card for each record in the series (the card for the HAYMARKET RIOT / HITCH 7" is LA CALAVERA - the skull). In addition, each record cover is hand-stamped with the FIGURITAS logo. The songs on this 7”s are exclusive to this records and are unavailable anywhere else.

HITCH are known overseas for playing aggressive rock while still managing to maintain a distinct sense of melody. If you combined the dynamics of bands like DRIVE LIKE JEHU and JAWBOX and translated that to the present day, you'll see where HITCH is coming from. We recently saw HITCH play a show in a cozy garage in Bloomington IN in support of their new Divot full-length and were completely blown away.

HAYMARKET RIOT is the band people should be thinking of when they throw around the term "post-hardcore". To put it simply, HAYMARKET RIOT is a melee of sound and flailing; a post-punk tornado powered by sharp, aggressive guitars delivered with an uncompromising urgency coupled with independent bass grooves and crisp drums. Comparisons are too often made to FUGAZI, which (while not a bad thing) does them no justice... do yourself a favor and check out one of the most amazing bands in the indie rock scene today
