Paranoid sci-fi lyrics propelled by a funky bass lines, dissonant guitar, and the snap of electro-glam keyboard is what you can expect from this Indiana-based four-piece. Lenore Syndrome's music is a suicide mission through the most desolate regions of post new-wave. After brief stops in the desolate VSS solar system and a white-knuckle ride through The "New" Terror Class layer of the atmosphere, alternating screamed and spoken vocals and rhythmic chording crash-land these guys on planet Milemarker. The end result is an amalgamation of automation and alienation that would chill and frighten both H.G. Wells and Martin Gore alike.

The music of Lenore Syndrome is a cold and calculated killing machine programmed with unrelenting aural blood-thirst. But wait, it is also equipped with enough atomically funky artillery to level an entire city block of futuristic discothèques. Just out the gates, the record's second track, "Disclosure," begins with a stark, sterile and synthetic keyboard line. The false comfort of these cold electronics doesn't last long, with dissonant guitars, and funky bass, which instantly conjures comparison to the Rapture, dive bombing the mix. The result is a maelstrom of unconventional beats, agitated and nervous vocals, and razors-edge keying. "The Distance Between The Knife And Your Back," is just as menacing and calculated as the title suggests. The musical and vocal freakouts on this song are strung together by a bouncy, bass line, fluttering snare/high-hat, and a guitar line reminiscent of the Cure's more eastern sounding numbers. The sci-fi paranoia of "Systems Will Fail" is at times a chaotic cacophony of ear splitting keying, and at others the picture of teeth-chattering rhythmic tightness. In short, in a music scene permeated by Episode 1's, Lenore Syndrome establishes themselves as a Blade Runner. Spin this disc and level the dance floor!!!
