WE 26.0 THE MEASLES Itch’ b/w The View From Here 7” $3.00 The Measles are a hard band to define. They are obviously influenced heavily by older music, as their sound reflects a blend of 60’s garage and pop. But to pigeonhole them as a retro band wouldn’t do them justice. They mix a 60’s sound with the styles of bands like the Murder City Devils and the (International) Noise Conspiracy. The A side of this record is a smoking original called ‘Itch’, while the B side is a cover of the Gories’ song ‘The View From Here’, which does justice to the original while adding their own touch of style. Overall, this record is frenzied and rockin’, and the die-cut cardboard 7" cover adds the finishing touch to an awesome record.
