WE 18.0 GROOVIE GHOULIES Magic 8 Ball 7” $3.00 When late 20th-century studies are a serious major, oh, say a hundred years from now, the Groovie Ghoulies will certainly be held in high esteem as one of the most productive punk rock bands around. This single was recorded with the short-lived lineup of Dan Panic (Screeching Weasel/The Queers/Plus Ones) on drums, and of course Kepi and Roach on bass and guitar respectively. The 2 songs are both titled “Magic 8 Ball” – the first was originally by Canada’s Cub and the second by the US’s own Head. Heavy influences by the Ramones (of course) on this record, but a little more poppy and a lot more spooky.
